Tim Illingworth - Smof Software
- Tim Illingworth is a British Civil
Servant living in Bell House in the
Cambridgeshire village of Coveney,
near Ely, who used to have a sideline in Internet Listserver software under
the name "Smof Software". Current
releases of this software run under DOS. Security through
obsolescence, that's what I say...
- Tim is active in Science Fiction Fandom (especially running
conventions). He was treasurer of the 2002 Eastercon (Helicon 2, in St. Helier, Jersey) and a Division
Head of the 2005 Worldcon, Interaction.
- Tim is involved in maintaining the World Science Fiction
Society's Constitution, and is a member of both the WSFS Mark
Protection Committee and the WSFS Nitpicking and Flyspecking
Committee.
- He maintains a page of
WSFS Business Meeting Stuff here. It covers data from 1963, 1974
and 1979-2002.
- Also here is a copy of
George Scithers' Con-Committee Chairman's Guide,
the story of Discon I, the 1963 Worldcon. Retyped in 2000 by Tim
Illingworth, from a copy of the original 1965 publication. Published
here with the permission of the author (George Scithers) and the
copyright-holder (Dick Eney).
- Tim maintains a
LiveJournal.
