Oriental. One of Marcia's cats, brought over from Tennessee.
Duchess
Persian, but Princess' daughter. Another of the Tennessee cats.
Smokey
A Blue-grey cat, Princess' son (and thus Duchess' half-brother).
The third of the Tennessee cats.
Patchouli
One of two kittens (see below) we got from a co-worker of Marcia's in 2003. A Tortoiseshell, and proud of it.
Tabitha
The other of the two kittens we got from a co-worker of Marcia's in 2003. A black-and-white cat, and apparently Jasper's apprentice hunter.
Here's a page of kitten photos. At this point, Patchouli and Tabitha were seven weeks old.
Leopold
One of two kittens we got from Cats Protection in 2007.
Josephine
The other of the two kittens we got from Cats Protection in 2007.
Dogs
Samson
A Black-Labrador/Curly-Coat Retriever cross
(a Lab-Coat Retriever?). Came from a breeder in Sutton Gault.
Faldo
A Black Labrador ex-guide dog, now retired. He used to be Tony "Blind Pew" Smith's dog.
Kali
Pure Birman in ancestry. Acquired from the other
neighbours at our previous house in Chessington in exchange for our
dishwasher. Born May 1999. Died 22 July 2003, of congestive heart failure.
Romeo
Found in a pet shop in Ely when Marcia was looking for
stuff for Samson. One of a pair, but Juliet worked out how to
escape from the cage. In a house with six cats, this is not good for
survival. Acquired March 1999. Died 2 July 2004
Jamin
A Black-and-white ex-Tom. Acquired from
neighbours at our previous house in Chessington. Died 22 July 2004. probably of a stroke.
Jasper
Ginger ex-Tom. Acquired, along with
Jamin, from neighbours at our previous house in
Chessington. The master hunter, given to decorating the
garden with bits of rabbit. Killed by a car 21 March 2007
