MATTERS ARISING.
| ||||||||
|
Grudges Bank - The temporary closure notices have been removed and damage has been done by a vehicle and horses. Clerk to write to K Keefe to request the temporary closure be reinstated.

Coronation Bench - D Thorogood is waiting to oil the bench.
| |||||||||
|
Coveney Conservation Area Appraisal - Rosemary Burton will be attending the meeting on 13th March to give a talk.

Camping Close hedge - N Fyfe has agreed to have the hedge cut. S Thorogood to contact J Palmer to see if he can cut it before the second week in March. N Fyfe has put up a fence dividing his field from the Parish's field.

Hedges - M Duffield to contact D Groom regarding the hedges on the road between Wardy Hill and Witcham.

NEIGHBOURHOOD & COUNTRYSIDE WATCH

|
No crime has been recorded in January. There have been some stack fires on the weekend of 11th/12th February. Some Parishioners have expressed concern regarding the condition of the cattle in the field next to the Village Hall. Clerk to write to S Heading.

RUBBISH
| ||||||||
|
The rubbish bins have not been fully emptied and the door on the rubbish bin near the phone box has been left open. Clerk to write to G Tickner and also request a rubbish bin for Park Close, near Park House.

RURAL ISSUES SEMINAR
| ||||||||
|
D Thorogood and S Thorogood attended the Rural Issues Seminar and gave a verbal report.

COUNTRYSIDE WATCH AGM
| ||||||||
|
D Thorogood and S. Thorogood attended the Countryside Watch AGM which included a talk on rural policing issues.

TRANSPORT & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE
| ||||||||
|
D Thorogood attended the meeting on the 16th January where parking charges were discussed.. The committee has been renamed as the East Cambs. Traffic Management Area Joint Committee.

|
Complaints have been made by Parishioners regarding damage to Sweet Hill Drove, Eastern Way Drove (Witcham) and Cut Drove (Witcham) by off-roaders. Clerk to write to Witcham Parish Council and K Keefe. Clerk also to report damage to Old Lynn Drove to K Keefe.

Clerk to confirm Mick Oliver's attendance at the Annual Parish Meeting. M Duffield and T Maton attended the meeting of the Witchford Patch of Youth Clubs. The young people attending the Coveney Youth Club are very pleased with the group. M Duffield to find out about a club for younger children.

Newsletter - The Clerk had drafted a newsletter for March. Councillors gave some ideas for articles. Clerk to prepare newsletter and give to M Duffield for checking and copying.

Ely Standard - Clerk to find out about including reports on Parish Council activities in the Ely Standard. Clerk also to write to Ely Standard regarding the provision of free newspapers in the Parish.
